Our Companies

Stagecoach Group has a number of joint venture companies which provide rail, coach and sightseeing services.

• Virgin Rail Group: Stagecoach Group has a 49% shareholding in Virgin Rail Group (VRG), which operates the West Coast Trains rail franchise in the UK. The franchise runs until March 2012. The other shareholder in Virgin Rail Group is the Virgin Group of Companies. Stagecoach Group Finance Director Martin Griffiths is Joint Chairman of Virgin Rail Group, whose Chief Executive is Tony Collins. The VRG Board includes Stagecoach Group and Virgin Group representatives.
• Scottish Citylink Coaches Limited: a joint venture between Stagecoach (35% shareholding) and international transport group ComfortDelGro (65% shareholding). It operates coach services in Scotland under the megabus.com and Scottish Citylink brands. The joint venture is the leading provider of express coach services in Scotland. Stagecoach is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the business, which is overseen by a joint Board.
• Twin America: Stagecoach and CitySights NY have a venture to operate sightseeing services in New York under both the Gray Line and CitySights brands. The Group holds 60% of the economic rights and 50% of the voting rights in the joint venture. Twin America LLC is headed by a Chief Executive and overseen by a joint Board.
